  • Verifying your identity under the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA).

  • Assisting with bond applications through third-party originators.

By submitting an inquiry or signing a mandate with WVDV, you provide voluntary, specific, and informed consent to the processing of your information. You may withdraw this consent at any time, though this may limit our ability to provide certain services (such as finalizing a sale).

4. Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not sell your data. We only share your information with authorized third parties when necessary to complete a transaction:

  • Conveyancing Attorneys: To process property transfers.

  • Bond Originators & Banks: To secure financing.

  • Credit Bureaus: For tenant or buyer vetting.

  • Service Providers: Such as photographers or maintenance contractors (with your permission).

6. Retention of Data

In accordance with the Property Practitioners Act, we are legally required to retain certain records (such as mandates and sale agreements) for a period of 5 years. Once this period expires, or the data is no longer needed, it will be securely destroyed or de-identified.
